HE ASKED WHY. THEN BUILT THE ANSWER.
Asad Hussain Amjad didn't grow up in fashion. No industry connections. No blueprint.
What he had was something harder to ignore.
He watched his mother spend an hour in the market, picking up fabric after fabric, holding each one up to the light — and putting it back down. Too cheap. Too plain. Too expensive for what it was. She'd leave with something she half-liked, because that was the only option that made sense.
He watched his sisters do the same thing online. Scrolling. Saving. Closing the tab. Either the quality wasn't there, or the price wasn't. Rarely both.
It happened enough times that it stopped feeling normal.
In 2024, Asad sat down and asked himself one honest question: If I could build the brand my mother actually deserved — what would it look like?
Not cheap. Not out of reach. Premium fabrics. Real prints. Prices that don't make you do the math twice.
That question became Dorikhas.
He'll tell you himself — he still thinks about that image. His mother in the market, putting the fabric back down. Every design that leaves Dorikhas is his answer to that moment.
She shouldn't have had to settle. And neither should you.
WHY WE STARTED
Pakistani fashion has always been rich — in culture, in craft, in color. But somewhere along the way, most brands started making the same things, for the same woman, in the same cuts.
We saw a gap. Women who wanted something premium without paying luxury prices. Women who wanted bold without being overdressed. Women who wanted quality that actually lasts past one season.
So we built it.
